Campus-Wide Building Signage
This project is focused on a refresh of signage to improve classroom wayfinding to help students and faculty navigate across campus.
The goal of this project is to continue the exterior refresh of the campus buildings. To continue enhancing the student experience and to make navigation easier, all exterior facing doors as well as the interior doors of MS3 and Cedro will receive upgraded signage. The result of this project will bring a modern and ADA compliant look to the campus. This project will serve as the basis of design for future signs on campus.
Construction is projected for completion in June 2021.

July 2021
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Project is complete.

June 2021
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Contractor completed scope of work as of June 18th, 2021. The site was walked, and the punch list is under way.
Next Month’s Milestones: Notice of Completion will be issued and submitted to July BOT.
May 2021
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Installation of signs is 94% complete. Punch walk started 5/21/21 by GBCo. Tracking items in Procore. Shannon Leigh submitted the final signage standards.
Next Month’s Milestones: Punch walk by Shannon Leigh to start on 6/17. Final Approval and Owner Acceptance to be recorded in Procore.
April 2021
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Sign fabrication is 70% complete. Installation of signs is 15% complete. The designer submitted and the College reviewed a draft version of the sign standards.
Next Month’s Milestones: Delivery of all building signage is due onsite during the first week of May. Installation should take 2-3 days per building, estimating completion by May 14, 2021. The designer will submit the final version of the sign standards.
Construction Updates: The current and upcoming work items include the delivery of signage onsite at the laydown area, installation of signage, ongoing wayfinding signage and ID room installation, and touch up painting. Signage has been completed for 12 buildings so far.
March 2021
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Per contract documents submittals are 100% complete. Contractor mobilized on campus 3/29/21.
Next Month’s Milestones: Mock-up in field with graphics is forthcoming. Start demo at Acacia, VPA and VPAA.
February 2021
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Development of the campus sign standards commenced.
Next Month’s Milestones: Development of the sign standards will continue.
January 2021
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Submittals received for materials.
Next Month’s Milestones: Signs go into fabrication in early February and contractor to mobilize on campus. Development of the sign standards will commence.
December 2020
Past Month’s Accomplishments: The project team reviewed and provided final comments on the 100% construction documents drawing package and programming documents. Changes were documented and released in the final addenda.
Next Month’s Milestones: Awarding the Signage Contractor Notice to proceed after Board approval. Kickoff meeting for the signage contractor. Notice to proceed will be issued after December Board approval.
November 2020

Next Month’s Milestones: Awarding the Signage Contractor Notice to Proceed after Board approval. Kick-off meeting for the Signage Contractor. NTP will be issued after December Board approval.
October 2020
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Met with campus leadership to approve the wayfinding strategy. Project team received the 100% construction documents (CD) drawing package and programming documents. The 100% CD drawing package and programming documents were released for bidding.
Next Month’s Milestones: The project team will review and provide final comments on the 100% construction documents (CD) drawing package and programming documents. Any changes will be reflected in the final addenda to be released in November.
September 2020
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Project team reviewed the 95% Construction Documents (CD) drawing package and the revised programming documents.
Next Month’s Milestones: Meeting has been scheduled with campus leadership to approve the wayfinding strategy for replacing all directional signs on the exterior of buildings for easier navigation across campus.
